Typekit is the easiest way to get TrueType Fonts on your site
Kategorie: web-development
There is no simplified way to get a TrueType Font right into your page without any “coding horror”. Typekit can serve fonts to any browser that supports the CSS @font-face rule. That includes Firefox 3.5 and higher, Safari 3.4 and higher, and all versions of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer after version 5. Older browsers will not be affected by Typekit. You are just 4 steps away from getting easypeasy TTFs into your site:
- Login into typekit (only if you are invited – right now)
- Just put a piece of code you ‘ll get from typekit into your head tag
- pickup a font from typekits space (paid members are allowed to use their own fonts)
- choose yor CSS classes, the Font has to be replaced
and you are done. Easy, isn’t it?
The free service includes 5GB Traffic, a Trial Library of some nice Fonts, just 1 website you can use nested with only two different fonts and a required placement of a typekit badge.
