del.icio.us vs. simpy.com
Why do del.icio.us have more users as simpy.com? Why it is more prominent? My bookmarks have reached a size of 1213, now. Everytime I perform a search I do need at least one wildcard as I always don’t really remember how a link is saved. Del.icio.us doesn’t have wildcards, it is using just few search hints as you are able to find them on the search help site. How could they reach so much popularity without having much stronger search abilities?
So what is the lack? Simpy.com is slow, fameless and google don’t list any hits listed there. Using simpy.com is much better for your own favorites, but minor for social structures. Using del.icio.us, you’ll never find again any favorites if you don’t have given them strong structured tags!
The result is, you have to use them both. One for make your website more famous, one for manage your own subscriptions.
